WHAT IS ABA?
ABA stands for Applied Behavior Analysis and suggests that behavior can be changed by modifying aspects in an individual’s environment and that skills can be acquired primarily through antecedent and consequence interventions. Through thorough assessments, individualized treatment planning, individualized therapy, involved parent training and skills training, the likelihood of the individual engaging in behaviors that lead to socially significant change increases.
WHO IS ABA FOR?
ABA therapy is provided to individuals that have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. Individuals who display verbal/physical aggression, self-injurious behavior (SIB), and stereotypy can benefit from ABA therapy. The goal for all of our clients is to attain change that increases social opportunities that were not available due to communication, behavior, and social barriers.
ABA therapy is not only useful in the aforementioned individuals and circumstances, but is also greatly beneficial when interventions are incorporated into therapies, trainings and coaching of a vast variety.
